El clima extremo, el fracaso de la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica y las amenazas a la biodiversidad son de gran preocupaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p>La urgencia de este problema ha aumentado en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os, tanto porque la pandemia ha estancado el progreso hacia una transici\u00f3n verde como porque los pa\u00edses han enfrentado la emergencia clim\u00e1tica con una respuesta inadecuada. Por ejemplo, aunque 197 pa\u00edses firmaron el Pacto Clim\u00e1tico de Glasgow en la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico (COP26) de 2021, no se espera que su compromiso alcance el objetivo de 1,5 \u00b0C establecido por el Acuerdo Clim\u00e1tico de Par\u00eds de 2016.
